About us

On The Spot

We believe good lighting begins with understanding people. Since 1994, we have helped retail, hospitality and commercial spaces become easier to read, better to experience and more purposeful in use.

We combine lighting design, technical expertise and practical delivery. From established systems to custom solutions, every project is shaped around the architecture, the people who enter it and the objectives it needs to support.

Philosophy

Lighting is not the final layer.
It shapes the whole experience.

Light gives products presence, helps people find their way and brings atmosphere to architecture. Considering it early allows every fixture, surface and focal point to work as part of one idea.

Values

A clear way of working, from first conversation to final result

Clear in every collaboration

Trust grows from honest advice, transparent decisions and reliable communication. We make the process understandable and take responsibility for what we agree to deliver.

Precise where it matters

A beam angle, a ceiling detail or a small shift in position can change the whole result. We give those details the attention they deserve, from concept and specification to the finished space.

Designed around people and place

Every project begins by listening. We consider how people move, what they need to notice and how the lighting should work with the architecture rather than compete with it.

Responsible from brief to handover

We approach each stage with structure and care. Clear responsibilities, documented choices and consistent follow-through help turn a lighting idea into a result that works in practice.

Better choices need better information

Environmental impact should be understood, not assumed. Where product-specific Environmental Product Declarations are available, they provide documented data that can support more informed decisions.

FAQ

Questions worth asking early

When should lighting be considered in a project?
As early as possible. When lighting is considered alongside the architecture and interior concept, it can support the atmosphere, customer flow and technical plan instead of being added as a separate layer at the end.
What is strategic lighting?
Strategic lighting connects what people see and feel with what the space needs to achieve. It uses focus, contrast, colour temperature and control to support orientation, product visibility, comfort and brand expression.
Do you only work with large retail chains?
No. We work with individual spaces as well as concepts intended for several locations. The right approach depends on the ambition, complexity and practical needs of the project.
Can you work with our existing concept or suppliers?
Yes. We can work within an established design concept and coordinate with architects, interior designers, contractors and approved suppliers. The aim is to strengthen the idea already in place.
How long does a typical project take?
Timelines vary with the size, level of customisation and stage of the project. We define scope, responsibilities and key decisions early, then build a realistic plan around the wider project schedule.
Do you offer custom lighting solutions?
Yes. When a standard product cannot create the right effect or fit the architecture, we can develop a custom solution around the design intent and technical requirements.
How do you ensure consistency across multiple locations?
We translate the lighting concept into clear principles, specifications and product choices that can be repeated. Where local conditions differ, the solution can be adjusted without losing the visual logic of the concept.
Can lighting influence sales and customer behaviour?
Lighting can make products easier to see, create visual hierarchy and help people navigate a space. Those effects can support the customer experience and commercial performance, although the result always depends on the full retail concept.
Do you handle installation and logistics?
The delivery model is agreed for each project and market. We can coordinate product supply, logistics and technical information, while installation responsibilities are clarified with the project team before work begins.
What happens after the project is completed?
The handover can include documentation and any agreed service needs. Scope, responsibilities and the next practical steps are clarified with the project team before completion.
